Travel / Tow Fund was
established by Hankook Tire USA and SCCA Milwaukee Region
for this Event for the purpose of partially reimbursing the expenses of
those Entrants who traveled a great distance to participate in the First
Annual Spec Miata Milwaukee Cup. The Tow Fund shall be at least
$3,000.00 and may include funds from additional Event Sponsors. The
funds shall be dispersed by a weighted formula to favor Entrants from
higher Zones defined below:
Zone 1
over 500 miles and under 1,000 miles
Zone 2 1,000 miles but less than 1,500
miles
Zone 3 1,500 miles but less than 2,000
miles
Zone 4 2,000 miles or more
Entrant's Zone will be
determined by the total trip mileage calculated by
www.MapQuest.com
Driving Directions (web site) from Entrant’s permanent residence (as of
the date the entry is received by the SCCA Milwaukee Region) to Elkhart
Lake, Wisconsin. The permanent residence will be the residence listed on
the Entrant's last license renewal application unless otherwise provided
for by the SCCA National Office.
Tow Fund Eligibility. Entries
submitted after the entry deadline will not be eligible to receive Tow
Fund. Entrants whose Vehicles were disqualified from the race shall not be
eligible for Tow fund. False representation of permanent residence will
result in penalties as provided in GCR section 14.
Entrants who completed
Registration, Tech Inspection and received at least one official
qualifying time shall be deemed eligible for the Tow Fund and will receive
their Tow Fund checks within approximately two weeks after the Event.
The name and address on the
check will match that of the W-9 form each Entrant must submit with this
Registration Form or complete at Registration. A Federal Tax ID number may
be used in lieu of a Social Security number. In these instances, the W-9
must be completed using the Tax ID company name and the Tow Fund check
will be issued to that named company. Federal Tax ID, and Social Security
numbers will be reported to the Internal Revenue Service as income for
anyone who receives over $600 in Tow Fund.
