The XM-DVR Pro records two (2) channels of video in up to three (3)
times the quality of a DVD. Video is recorded to a removable
compact flash memory card, or optional solid state drive. Once
recorded, video can be viewed on a monitor or downloaded to a PC,
burned to a DVD, viewed, or uploaded. The XM-DVR Pro can be
connected to virtually any power source, accepting 10-32VDC, which
powers the recorder, The Multi-View, The Director, the cameras, and
accessories through one simple connection. The system can be
hardwired, connected to our optional Li-ion battery pack, or
connected to power with the optional cig plug adapter. The XM-DVR
Pro can be configured to start recording on power-up or on the
command of the optional start/stop switch.
The Director is a
camera switcher which allows the user to select one of four cameras
using a rotary switch. The Director connects directly to
four cameras and then outputs one signal, designated by the switch, which is
then recorded by the XM-DVR
Pro. In this configuration, The Director also passes through
each of the signals of all four
cameras, which can then be sent to the four camera inputs of The Multi-View. The
near-seamless switching of cameras allows for one constant video
recording with changing camera views and with the use of the
Multi-View, you will see what all four cameras recorded on one
screen. Initially designed for flight
tours, the Director can edit video in real time eliminating the need
for post production editing.
The Multi-View Quattro-b accepts video from up to four (4)
cameras and seamlessly converts them into one output so that you can
maximize the action all on one screen. Along with having 19
available choices picture-in-picture layout, there is a +/-9G
vertical accelerometer overlay, and an option for GPS coordinates,
altitude, and speed overlay using the Datatoys external GPS sensor.
The Datatoys 580 Line Sony Bullet Camera can be mounted in the
cockpit, wing, tail, or strut of the aircraft. It's light weight,
small size, and waterproof design allow for permanent mounting
exposed to the elements. The 580 is optimized for aviation
applications with a fast light response and anti-blooming
technology. This allows for direct sun light exposure with out
damage, all while retaining image quality.
